How to install

iPhone & iPad

  1. 1 Open slim.to in Safari (this won't work in Chrome or other browsers on iOS).
  2. 2 Tap the Share button ⬆︎ at the bottom of the screen.
  3. 3 Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. 4 Tap Add in the top right. That's it — slim.to is now on your home screen.

Push notifications on iOS require iOS 16.4 or later. After installing, open slim.to from your home screen and allow notifications when prompted.

Android

  1. 1 Open slim.to in Chrome.
  2. 2 Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top right corner.
  3. 3 Tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
  4. 4 Confirm by tapping Install. The app will appear on your home screen.

Android supports push notifications automatically. You'll be prompted to allow notifications the first time you open the app.

Desktop (Chrome / Edge)

  1. 1 Open slim.to in Chrome or Edge.
  2. 2 Look for the install icon in the address bar (a monitor with a down arrow), or open the three-dot menu and click Install slim.to.
  3. 3 Click Install. The app opens in its own window — no tabs, no distractions.

What is a PWA?

A Progressive Web App (PWA) is a website that can be installed on your device and used like a native app. It loads fast, works offline, and can send push notifications — all without going through an app store.

Do I need to update the app?

No. Since slim.to is a web app, it updates automatically every time you open it. You always have the latest version.

Will I get notifications on my phone?

Yes. Push notifications work on Android (all versions) and iOS (16.4+). You'll be prompted to allow notifications after installing the app and opening it from your home screen.

How much storage does it use?

Almost none. Unlike native apps that can take hundreds of megabytes, the slim.to PWA uses less than 1 MB of storage on your device.

Can I uninstall it?

Yes — just like any other app. On iOS, long-press the icon and tap "Delete App." On Android, long-press and drag to "Uninstall." On desktop, right-click the icon in your taskbar.
